“There is a student who is struggling in some relationships with peers and teachers. He seems to be a very sensitive kid. He was the first student to reach 100%, so teachers and peers celebrated his hard work and intellect. Faculty also out reached to parents with the ‘good news.’ I love Reflex because it helps me build in time for support and challenge one-on-one or in small groups. The games are engaging and provide immediate feedback as well as long-term rewards. Thus, while some of the students are engaged with Reflex, I can give more attention to one or a few students. The special/extra time helps to tease apart confusing concepts and create personal strategies to gain greater success. When a smiling kid says, ‘I get it now!’ that’s a success story.”

“We are an alternative high school so our students are older. It’s very difficult for older students who are really behind in their skills. They don’t have an opportunity to catch up and they have no confidence in themselves. One of our students was having a very difficult time completing Pre-Algebra. Once he started in Reflex he was so excited that he was progressing and understanding math. He’s the only one in class who has gotten a purple skin, so he feels very successful.”
