8. How do Reflex and Frax work together? What’s the best order for implementing them?
Reflex and Frax work together by targeting different math skills at key stages of learning. Reflex is used, typically in grades 2-6, to build math fact fluency with addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. Frax is used, usually in grades 3-5, to help students develop a strong understanding of fractions.
Simultaneous heavy usage of both is not recommended. The most impactful results come from fidelity usage dedicated to each product at the proper time. Grade 3+ teachers should devote any available time (before or after completing the recommended Frax work) to Reflex until students have reached a high level of fluency. For the best results, teachers should prioritize Frax before starting a fractions unit to accelerate student learning. For more details, read the full guide on when to use Reflex and Frax.
9. What professional development for educators does Reflex include?
Site and district licenses include live, instructor-led online webinars and on-demand self-paced videos that help educators implement Reflex easily and effectively. Our professional development offerings include introductory and advanced courses for teachers and administrators.
