Introduction to Reflex and Frax
Audience: Math Teachers | Prerequisite: N/A
About the Workshop
The Introduction to Reflex and Frax workshop is designed to enable a teacher to immediately get students up and running with Reflex and Frax, monitor progress, and coach students towards fluency in math facts and conceptual understanding in fractions. First, there will be a segment discussing math fact fluency and its importance to student achievement in math. Then teachers learn the importance of each of the three sections of a typical Reflex student session. During the Frax section, teachers will see a sample Frax Mission and identify the pedagogical methodologies used. Finally, they will learn to manage student accounts and review the individual and group reports. Teachers will gain a good understanding of how to support the students using the programs, including the use of classroom activities.
